Effective date: 24 October 2026
Sidedesk is a Chrome extension made by Emmanuel Shola. It shows your pinned pages, recent pages, and projects in one small panel on every page you visit. This policy explains what Sidedesk stores, where it stores it, and what it never does.
Sidedesk keeps a small record of the web pages you open in your browser:
Sidedesk only records normal web pages (http and https). It never records Chrome's own pages (such as the New Tab page or settings) or other extensions' pages.
In this version Sidedesk does not read the text or content of the pages you visit. It only uses the address and title that Chrome shows in the tab.
Everything is stored on your own computer, inside your Chrome profile (in the browser's local storage for this extension). Sidedesk makes no network connections: it does not send anything to us or to anyone else. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking.
Only to show you your own pages inside the Sidedesk panel: to list recent pages, find a page when you search, switch to it, and group pages into projects. Nothing else.
If a future version changes what Sidedesk stores (for example, an optional feature that reads page content), this policy will be updated first and the effective date will change.
